Truchard Vineyards, Roussanne 2023

Truchard’s 2023 Roussanne brings a Rhône Valley grape to the cool Carneros landscape of Napa Valley. The estate planted its Roussanne in 1998, on gently sloping ground with volcanic rock and ash soils.

Pineapple, honeysuckle and jasmine aromas meet touches of brioche and vanilla. The palate is crisp and layered, with pear, melon and apricot notes carried by bright acidity into a citrus, mineral and spice finish.

Barrel fermentation and six months on the lees add richness while partial malolactic fermentation preserves freshness. Try it with salmon or roast poultry.
