Marino Abate, Lapa Nero d’Avola Sicilia DOC 2023

Marino Abate’s Lapa celebrates Nero d’Avola, Sicily’s signature red grape, grown near Marsala in the island’s western reaches. Its name means “bee” in Sicilian dialect, a nod to the estate’s commitment to caring for the land.

The producer describes Lapa as dry, smooth and elegant, with blackberry and cherry aromas, subtle floral notes and a touch of spice. Smooth tannins and a long, harmonious finish make it an inviting companion for a generous meal.
