Cardedu, Caladu Cannonau di Sardegna

Cardedu’s Caladu is a distinctive Sardinian red made from Cannonau, the island’s expression of Grenache. The Loi family’s vineyards lie in southeastern Sardinia, where decomposed granite and rugged hills shape the wines.

Spice and smoke mingle with fleshy red plum and raspberry. Mature vines lend depth to the fruit, while the granite soils help preserve a fresh character. Fermentation and extended maturation in cement keep the emphasis on the grape rather than oak.

A natural match for grilled meats, roasted vegetables and a generous outdoor feast.
